40 years American Truetzschler - A success story
In 1969, American Truetzschler was the first Trützschler branch abroad.
The first activities concerned repairs and improvements of blowroom lines. A typical product of that time was e.g. the automation of roller devices in beaters. American Truetzschler ATR quickly developed from a pure service location to a production site. In the course of expansion, two relocations became necessary. Today’s location on Moores Chapel Road in Charlotte was built in 1978.
In 1982, the first complete installation including the then new Trützschler Cards DK 715 was delivered to Messrs. Tultex/Mayodan. Already 10 years later, we could celebrate the delivery of the 2,000th card to Messrs. Sara Lee. And only 7 further years expired until the delivery of the 4,000th card.
After taking over the Hollingsworth activities in 2003, our product range was complemented by the card clothings made by Trützschler Card Clothing.
In 2006, we started to build up our own sales team for the nonwovens industry. At first, we offered Erko products, and only one year later, Fleissner products, too. Already in 2007, these activities were crowned with success. We sold our first complete Trützschler nonwovens line in the USA.
Today, American Truetzschler is the most important manufacturer of nonwovens machinery in the USA.
