Optimised for additional sliver evenness
Trützschler was able to further improve the reliable 4-over-3 drafting system with pressure bar: The 4th top roll ensures an ever more careful sliver deflection at the delivery side of the drafting system, while the adjustable pressure bar in the main draft area provides controlled guidance of even short fibers. When adjusting the drafting zone widths, the top rolls are guided in the bearing housings of the bottom rolls. This approach - in connection with high-precision mechanics - ensures 100 % axis parallelism for optimal control of the fiber flow.

Six-fold increase of service life
To significantly increase service life, pressure bar and cleaning bar have been newly designed: The cleaning bars can be used in six positions, resulting in a six-fold increase of service life. The top rolls feature an innovate bearing: Permanently lubricated bearings with extremely low heat development ensure optimal running properties, extended service life of the coatings, thus effectively preventing lap formation.

Systematic prevention of lap formation
The formation of laps at the drafting cylinders or top rolls is particularly promoted under unfavourable climatic conditions. Not so with Trützschler rolls: Their large diameter and low temperature prevent lap formation to a large extent; in addition, the top roll supports have integrated lap formation monitoring. It automatically adjusts itself to zero point every time the machine starts; hence, there is no need for new adjustments, e.g. after replacing or regrinding the top rolls.

Simple and quick adjustment of drafting zone width
Top roll support, top rolls and drafting cylinder form a unit that is automatically adjusted as well.

Precision setting of suction
The suction system is adapted to the drafting system geometry and ensures excellent dust removal from the slivers. The suction hoods are equipped with integrated strippers for the bottom rolls.
